Stoqd

Pantry management that just works

Scan receipts, manage recipes that deduct ingredients when you cook, and generate smart grocery lists — all local-first, with no account required.

iOS Android (planned)

Everything You Need to Manage Your Pantry

Stoqd brings receipt scanning, recipe management, and grocery planning together — fast, private, and offline-first.

Receipt Scanning

Snap a photo of your grocery receipt and Stoqd extracts items, quantities, and units automatically — powered by Google Gemini vision.

Barcode Lookup

Three-tier lookup: a bundled offline product database first, then Open Food Facts, then Go-UPC as a fallback. Fast, even with no signal.

Smart Recipes

Import recipes from any URL or a photo of a cookbook page. Stoqd parses ingredients and links them to your pantry automatically.

Cook & Deduct

Tap "I Made This" and Stoqd deducts the ingredients you used. A quick post-cook prompt lets you confirm what's still in stock.

Grocery Lists

Generate a grocery list from selected recipes minus what's already in your pantry. Check items off as you shop, then transfer to pantry in one tap.

Privacy First

No account. No tracking. All your pantry, recipe, and grocery data lives in a local database on your device — never on our servers.

How It Works

1

Stock your pantry

Scan a receipt, scan a barcode, or quick-add items by typing or speaking a free-text list.

2

Plan meals

Add recipes and see which ones you can cook right now based on what's already in your pantry.

3

Cook & restock

Tap "I Made This" to deduct ingredients automatically, then let Stoqd build your next grocery list.

Support & FAQ

Common questions and troubleshooting. Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out below.

How do I scan a receipt?

From the Dashboard or the Pantry tab, tap the camera icon and choose "Scan Receipt." Frame the full receipt in good light and snap the photo — Stoqd sends it to Google Gemini for parsing and shows you a confirmation screen where you can edit items before adding them to your pantry.

You can also import a PDF receipt from your Files app using the document picker.

Why can't Stoqd find my barcode?

Stoqd checks three sources in order: a bundled offline database, the Open Food Facts community catalog, and Go-UPC. Regional or store-brand products sometimes aren't in any of these — when that happens, you can add the item manually and Stoqd will remember it for next time.

How does "I Made This" work?

From any recipe detail screen, tap "I Made This" and Stoqd walks you through a three-step flow: choose servings, preview which ingredients will be deducted, then confirm what's still in stock. The post-cook stock check is the safety net — even if amounts weren't tracked precisely, you can mark items as Plenty, Low, or Out in one tap.

How do I import a recipe from a website?

From the Recipes tab, tap the add button and choose "Import from URL." Paste the recipe link — Stoqd reads structured recipe data when the site provides it, and falls back to AI parsing when it doesn't. You can also import from a photo of a cookbook page.

Where is my data stored?

Everything — your pantry, recipes, grocery lists, and activity history — lives in a local SQLite database on your device. There is no Stoqd server and no account to create.

Receipt photos, recipe photos, and pasted recipe text are sent to Google's Gemini API for parsing. Stoqd does not retain copies of these on any server. Barcode lookups query the public Open Food Facts and Go-UPC services anonymously.

How do I reset all my data?

Open Settings from the Dashboard and scroll to "Reset Data." This wipes the local database and returns Stoqd to a fresh state. Uninstalling the app also removes all data.

Stoqd misread my receipt — can I fix it?

Yes. After scanning, you'll see a review screen with every parsed item. Edit names, quantities, units, or categories before tapping "Add to Pantry." You can also delete misread rows entirely.
